ASG, Automatic Soundscape Generation, is a real time city/environmental noise-masking software developed by A.S., which creates musically oriented counter-soundscapes to change the perception of noise-polluted environments. Architettura Sonora successfully tested the software during the “Il Lusso Essenziale” festival at Villa Aldobrandini in Rome, which is located right next to via Nazionale, one of the main traffic-congested roads of the capital; installing a Urban Sonic Garden A.S. created a multisensory peaceful oasis within the chaotic area, where people could finally have a different perception of the beautiful scenery of villa Aldobrandini.
